I installed windows 7 on my Sony VGN NR498E and I want to know if I need to install another sound card to have my sound input devices option availiable again.

Is your sound not working ?

What was your previous OS ? If Vista, probably not, If XP, maybe !

Go to your Computer Mfg Site and check for win7 Audio drivers.

^ +1 or you could try using the vista drivers you got initially with your laptop and use it on win7
