Hello everyone, I am new to this site and this is my first time trying to fix my own computer. I have an Acer Travelmate4600, and i had recently installed a Lord of the rings game which i believe overheated my processor or video card. At first, the screen would get rows of green pixels spread over the screen during gameplay, and now its gotten to a stage in which it affects the whole system even when I'm not running the game.

It basically looks like a fried video card but sometimes when i move my cursor over areas that are affected by the green pixel lines, they disappear (especially for desktop icons)

can anyone help me diagnose this problem please?

Sorry if it sounds a little confusing...

Yeah sounds like the video card to me, But just to make sure you could put the video card in another PC and see what happens.
