Can I toggle between monitors?

Hey Guys thanks for this website. I have a Dell dimension 4700 with 3.2 Ghz processor (yes it really has the intel 915 chipset, 4700's with slower processors may have the 910 chipset). I have an ATI x300 graphics card with a standard 15 pin connection to the Dell 17 inch desktop monitor as well as a DVI/HDMI connection to my RCA 40FHD41 TV. That said, can I possibly toggle between my monitor and my TV? Changing inputs on the TV causes the ATI settings to the TV get screwed up. I have all of the latest drivers for the 'puter and the Radeon card. Any help here would be greatly appreciated...

BTW I am disabled and have fairly poor eye/hand coordination, so, although I love games, I seem to be limited to watching DVD's and surfing the net. What I hope to learn is how to switch between the monitor(when others are watching TV) and the TV when I have it all to myself, without hosing the settings to either..

Usually function and f4 will allow this. Look at your keyboard and see which function key corresponds.
