I am purchasing a ASUS RAMpage 3 x58 motherboard and I have an existing Cooler Master 1000w PSU "real power pro".
I has one 6pin and one 8pin dedicated CPU cable. Now if I don't plan to fully overclock this motherboard will I get away with this configuration? Every picture I see of the board has a small cover over the pins revealing only 4 pins. Does this mean the minimum power for this board is 4x4? CPU power.
Third question, can I cheat and get the additonal power from another source, like a spare GPU connector?
