That CPU will hold back any card, I would recomend a new build or sticking with what you have.

Thanks for your response

The main reason I need a new graphics card is that the monitor port (slot) is not working correctly (loose) and I need a graphics card with a new 15 pin port slot any cheap ideas?

To give that computer a new lease on life. You could get an HD4670 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... and upgrade your single core AM2 CPU to a dual core. There is plenty of AM2 dual cores for sale on ebay for cheap I would look for 4800+ to 5400+.

Is it easy to replace the single core AM2 CPU to a Dual Core, also what is the Ghz I need when looking.

Thanks

Here is their general Guide http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph...
I would look for 4800+ to 5400+ 2.4-2.8 GHz and stay away from the higher clocked ones since many of them required 125watts and some Motherboards had issues with supplying that power.

I got a 3800x2+ (am2 65w) that I will be parting with to cover cost of a 8250e that I recently bought.
