ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I want to know if what I have selected so far from newegg is good for gaming, along with that main reason, I would enjoy feedback if the linked MOBO and CPU are a good combination. I also want to know the longevity of the CPU and Mobo will be. I will be using two 3870's in my future build but I do not intend on pushing this pc to the limit. Comments and etc... are welcome o:

If you're not too worried about USB 3.0 or SATA 6.0gbps, you can go with an even cheaper alternative like this mobo and then combo it with the 955 with C3 stepping. Same chip, the 965 just has a 200mhz overclock. Save some cash and just OC it yourself.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 + ASUS M4A78T-E

If you want, you could even get a new card with your budget.

Combo the ram that banthracis suggested with this 5770, and bam. A new awesome rig for $523.97 w/ free shipping. $508.97 after MIR.

G. Skill Ripjaws 2X2GB CL 7 + ASUS 5770

I think it'd be well worth it :D
