2 1TB hardrives on windows 7

how should i set up 2 1TB drives in windows 7 i keep being told raid0 isnt a good idea how do i setup 2 single hardrives and do i put them as ide or ahci im putting windows 7 on ssd

Do not use RAID 0, small performance increase and larger risk of data loss. Install Windows 7 on one with your bios in AHCI sata mode and use the other for backup and data. If you do use an SSD, then put both drives on 3Gb/s sata ports and use them for programs, data, and backup. Use AHCI mode for your bios sata mode.
