i7 9XX uses tripple channel memory so you want 3gb, 6gb or 12 for optimum speed.

If you want insane gaming performance that's the way to go, but a 5850, 5870, and 470gtx will all handle new games on highest settings. If you are willing to upgrade later I'd go for one of those cards if not take banthracis' suggestion And that mobo is old and a very bad choice the p6x58d-e is its direct replacement and costs a little more.

you need 3gb of ram 3x1 or 6gb of ram 3 x2-

Don't get the i7-920 get the i7 930

Get a Seagate 7200.12 500gb - I think they have less failure rate ( i own one and love it)

Get a board with usb 3.0 and 6gb/s This one has good reviews and TOMS has used this brand of board in the system builder marathons http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

What are your thoughts on my current power supply? Do I need more power like a 750? What about CPU Cooling? I prefer to stick with intel and the 5870 for now, maybe get another in the future.
