PC wont boot with two 1 GB rams in each slot

Hello,
I have Asus mobo M2N-MX-SE PLUS with AMD Sempron processor with the 512mb ram in each slot the system is rnning but when i replace the ram with 1GB in each slot the computer wont boot

That board can handle 2x2GB so it sounds like you either:

1) have bad RAM, or
2) have inserted the RAM only partially

Solution:
Try one stick at a time. Only one of the slots should work for a single stick so read your manual.
