Graphics card Compatibility with mobo

Hello,

I am looking into building a new PC.

Motherboard: SUS P8P67 LGA 1155 P67 SATA 6 Gbps and USB 3.0 Supported ATX Motherboard (Motherboard for sandy bridge)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k
Memory: Kingston HyperX 4 GB Kit (2x2 GB Modules) 1600 MHz DDR3 Desktop Memory KHX1600C8D3K2/4GX

My question: Is a ATI 6950 compatible with this motherboard? Is it bad to mix companies like Intel and ati, or Nvidia and AMD. The nvidia graphics cards are too expensive at the moment, and the 6950 seems to be the right spot for performance and price. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Tom's Hardware...

It will work just fine!! There is no problem with the ATI card working on the Intel P67 board.

Nvidia GTX 470 is a better card but higher heat though.
