Need some GTA 4 benchmarks on Core 2 duo CPU

I have a HD 5670 512 mb graphic card and a monitor with resolution 1024 X 768.............I am not sure if I can play GTA 4 smooth on my computer.............I have 1 gb system ram now and will get another 1 gb in a week.............I have a core 2 duo cpu E4500 @2.20 GHZ.............I did not find any benchmarks of GTA 4 with HD 5670..............Should I run GTA 4?

Aside from RAM,your VGA and CPU are good enough to run GTA IV on that resolution.

I will upgrade to 2GB this week.............is that enough?

4GB is recommended for today's games and apps(Especially if you use Windows Vista/7)

2 gigs will run GTA4. 1 gig with SP3 will not run GTA4... well it will, but you won't like it much ;) 
The game really likes 3gb+ of ram. You'l notice right away that it smooths out quite a bit from 2gb's even, especially when your driving and it's loading less furiously in the background.
