More about build 2500 3000
  1. I would get the 930 the 980x is unnecesserily powerful and expensive.

case: http://www.amazon.de/Cooler-Master-Geh%C3%A4use-ATX-Cosmos/dp/B0014K11DA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1272827337&sr=1-1 simply beautiful or the uglier haf if you prefer it.

ram: http://www.amazon.de/REDLINE-998805-Memory-GB/dp/B003JTCZ66/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1272827291&sr=8-7 faster and 6gb is more than enough.

screen: 1280*1024 is really low I'd upgrade now since there isn't much usefull you can do with that budget. I'd go 3 screen. 3X http://www.amazon.de/BenQ-G2420HDBL-Widescreen-Kontrastverh%C3%A4ltnis-5-000-000/dp/B002XNOJMC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1272827501&sr=1-1

    totals too around 2650euros

The CPU's memory controller is only 1066 MHz anyway so I think there's not much of a difference between the 1333 and 1600 RAM anyway when I'm not overclocking, and most 1600 RAM will run at a higher voltage than it's supposed to, with the specified 1.65V already being very close to the max.

I read that the cooler that comes with the 980X is quite good so whether I buy a separate cooler will depend on how the Intel one performs.
  3. the standard memory speed is 1066mhz but you can set it to whatever you like. If you set it to 1600. And that isn't overclocking since it isn't and OVERclock :P its just changing the settings.
  4. and cas latency 6 is also faster
