I had an earlier thread asking for help on my radeon 4650 drivers. The drivers caused a crash last night and i lost everything. So im returning the card to newegg and getting a refund of 70 dollars. I need a card that is 4x/8x AGP and has a power consumption no higher than 375w and falls below 70$. Also it would be nice if it doesn't have any connectors for extra power. If all the cards need one, I will just by an extension for the 4-pin connectors

Thanks in advance

I recommend you save some more money and get a new CPU + Motherboard + RAM. You can get a good AM3 set up for ~$230 or so. AGP is dead and you are essentially throwing that $70 down the drain.

i dont have an extra 200$ sittin around though. i have 2gb of ram in it and it runs fast even for p4. im still sticking with agp cuz I dont hav enough money and dont know how to upgrade a motherboard

There are not many AGP cards out there HD4650 is one of the better ones for gaming.

Well i am not going to be doing any real hardcore games. I just planning to use it for older games (LOTR BFME 1, Morrowind, Roller Coaster tycoon 1 etc)

can anyone recommend me one that is less than 80$ and that works under a 400w psu? I could also use a store that has a big supply of 4x 8x cards. newegg is good but they have weak cards

Newegg is the best store, u are simply looking for a long discontinued product line. If I were you, I would go on ebay and grab a 6600GT or a 7600GT.

what about a 6200? i had one but it fried but that was because i was using it with a 250w psu not my 400w. when it worked, it worked fine

im just playing it safe so i went ahead and looked that this one. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite... it caught my eye cuz it was 4x/8x so it would surely work. it also only needs a 300w psu and no extra cords. shader model 4.1 too

It runs on the same drivers as your HD4650

ya, but other sites say HIS's drivers actually work. XFX didn't have any drivers i could get, so i tried to use other drivers, and it didn't turn out so well
