I'm trying to install winxp on a new mb and other new components. It gets partly thru the install of win xp then the irq1 message pops up , the system stops the installof xp

I had this problem mine was caused of ESD Electric Static Discharge (a mouse had gotten into my pc through a unused pci expansion slots in a old Antec Case he was able to push it through with his nose and fried the hardware)
