Hello, Recently I purchased my first SSD drive (Intel 520 120g) I have tried numerous times to solve a rather simple problem...or so I thought! I have tried both a fresh new Install and a Clone Install but no matter what I do, the system hangs after the Bios prompt to a Black screen with a Blinking curser. The system will boot fine when the Windows 7 install disc is loaded. Also I have no problem with my HD Drive. I really thought this transfer from HD to SSD was supposed to go easy.....fool me!

Ok new Details.. I have tried this several times now and even with a clean install of Windows it won't boot without the disc either! It has to be a MB setting right?
It says Intel SSDSC2CW120AS ATA Device Shouldn't that be sata device?
As of now I have everything working. Except the Disc problem.

I have tried the repair solution and the bios boot order....that was the first thing I did. I didn't change any other sttings in the Bios....that is what I am unsure of!!!

Let us back up a little bit.

1) When you did the repair solution, what did the system report show?

2) Do you have more one SSD/HD in your PC?

3) How did you do the install? Did you set the AHCI in the bios and disconnect the HD before installing wind 7 to the SSD?

4) Do you try to other SATA port?
