How Is This Gaming Rig Setup?

Hey! I just got tired of trying to game on my old Studio 1537 laptop, so I decided I should make a myself a gaming computer. Well, I picked out the parts and it turned out to be $1228. I went to my local computer shop and they said it would be $1419 WITH 1 year warranty (I've had experience with them before. One time they let me return a set of RAM because it didn't fit into my laptop.)and for the building labor. My setup is:
Intel i7 860 Processor
Asus P755D Motherboard
8GB RAM
1TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
Sapphire HD 5770 GPU (ATI Radeon HD 5770)
650W PSU
I forgot the name of it, but a Cool CoolerMaster case
If you have any questions about the setup just ask.
Anyway, is this a good setup and a good price for this kind of setup? Thanks.

You're spending too much on the RAM, 4G is enough. And get a HD5850, for gaming the GPU matters the most. You can also get a Phenom II 955 and a cheaper mobo and a HD 5970.

That seems too expensive for what you are getting.

Just get a 5850 with 4gb of ram(which is more than enough). If thats still to expensive downgrade your cpu to an i5 750.
