Catayst AI control screws up performance?

Uh, Catlist AI lowers prefromance while increasing visual quilty.

That Said, the 5970 Quadfire should take anything on a single moniter, with aa. (Except for Crysis, oR Metro)

Does it happen with other games?

I don't have that issue at all with my 5870.

maybe try downloading the latest crossfire profiles from ATI.

What Game? In the past turning off Catalyst AI made the card use only one GPU.

In single GPU configs, it controls the card optimizations (more performance for little cost) and allows for forced settings.

In GPU configs it also controls other things including crossfire mode.

builder, im running eyefinity with 3 lcd's.
my system is a 980x, 12 gig 1600 ram, 2 5970 sapphire 2 gig cards..asus p6t deluxe v2 board. 1200 wat power supply
I just got this thing a week ago...

why wouldnt a 5970 or heck, evne two of them handle metro 2033 well?

my monitor res for eyefinity is 5040x1050..

i just noticed in bioshock 2, bfbc2, and avp, when ai is on, performance takes a nose dive..performance being fps..
this is all in eyefinity mode though..

im running 10.3 and the latest app profiles..

there are still some performance issues with crossfire and eyefinity. id recomend checking to see if all your GPUs are being used during gameplay.

And Metro si the Crysis of Today, You can't play Crysis at 2560x1600 with AA and get playble frames with a 5970, and Metro is even worse.

What size are the oniters?

Are they 30"?


At this point I would recomend you Reintall the drivers.
