Celeron 430 or Celeron E3300 or Atom 330

I am building a file server so I want to this box to have low power usage.

The E3300 is only $8.00 more than the 430 and is dual core but 65 watts.

The 430 is single core but is 35 watts so I am assuming it will use less power.

And then there is Atom.

I plan on running either OpenNAS or windows home server.

Any opinions?

  1. Id go with a Atom probably. Its low voltage, and it shows up as 4 cores since it uses HT. Id imagine it has a better power/performance ratio.
  2. Im reading that the Atom 330 runs at about 45 w full load.
