Final System Conundrum. PCI V PCIE Wireless/Sound Card

Just get a wireless USB card.

So i have finalized my system build with a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423&Tpk=Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R)
It has 2 pci express 1x slots and a pci slot.

I guess i don't have a choice as the XFi is pci e only http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102019

So my question is will this wireless card fill in the second pci e slot or should i get the pci version.

What performance loss will i suffer/ notice.
