Hello,

I am planning on building a new system in the next couple of weeks. I have put together a list of parts that I am planning on getting and would like some feedback about it. Mostly about compatibility and general build advice. Thank you.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within the next two weeks BUDGET RANGE: $750-800

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming(Starcraft II, Boarderlands, WoW), surfing the internet, movies (via s-video to component to a HDTV)

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com or tigerdirect.com COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

OVERCLOCKING: No SLI OR CROSSFIRE: yes/maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1680x1050 (I plan on getting another one eventually)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: A friend of mine has a HD 4850 he is willing to give me, it's the exact same card as the one I plan on buying and less than a year old. I am planning on using it to CF with my new 4850. Is this a good plan?
I also want to RAID 0 the HD's.
Would I be able to run a 3 monitor set-up if I crossfire 2 4850's?

Here is a list of parts I am currently planning on getting:

Thats a pretty good setup you picked there. One thing I would suggest is G.skill ram and also perhaps going for a 790 or 785 motherboard that supports USB 3.0 and DDR3. Also, try to go for a 5770 or 5850.

Wait wait. I didnt read you have a free 4850 coming in. Stick with that for now. You can always upgrade later. I believe that 2 4850s would only run up to 2 monitors.

Stick with the same brand and model 4850 to crossfire.
