no idea for thermal compound.

thankyou in advance really am stuck with this and am desperate to finish my build

A couple of quick notes: You don't need thermal compound unless you're trying for a really massive overclock.

The reason every mentions Crysis isn't that it's a good (or even popular) game. It's mentioned because it taxes systems like nothing else. Basically, it's a benchmarking tool disguised as a game.

Everything looks pretty good in the build, so you shouldn't need to be exchanging any parts.

I would get the 5870 and put the rest into getting a good monitor. The 5870 is more than powerful enough to play every game on the market at max details at 1900x resolutions. The 5970 is just plain overkill right now.

Finally someone who agrees with me I've been trying to tell people that its better to buy a 5870 but its like talking to wall cuase everyone loves power (like those idiots who buy a fighter jet and fly 600km/h with it LOL) even if its completely useless.

p.s i am going to be overclocking to about 4ghz at some point if i feel the need too thats why i mentioned thermal compound.

Right now, there isn't a huge difference between different brands. Some people like to get XFX cards because of their "double lifetime" warranty, but I'm not sure if that's offered abroad.

As far as sites, the only one I really know of is Ebuyer.com, but it seems to be the most popular choice.

4 GHz isn't massive. A good cooler will get you that easily.

You can spend 25-35 bucks on a DVD writer and get a decent one. Look at LG, Sony, LiteOn or Plextor.
