just finished my degree at University of Waterloo and my parents sought fit to finance a new build as a graduation gift. Opinions? Thoughts?

PURCHASE DATE: next few weeks
SYSTEM USAGE: Games, Photoshop, Internet, MS office
PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers

That case is alarmingly expensive - nearly $300 with tax and shipping...
For the motherboard, a much cheaper alternative should serve you well

I understand that this build is coming at no cost to you, but the above build is just a bit too unreasonable. If you are really into spending extra, consider purchasing a new (or second) monitor with the money you save.

looks pretty similar to mine, except I chose a very high quality PSU, a WD HDD to take advantage of sata III, a more expensive case and 12GB of CL6 ram.
