Approx. 2500 gaming build - graduation gift

just finished my degree at University of Waterloo and my parents sought fit to finance a new build as a graduation gift. Opinions? Thoughts?

PURCHASE DATE: next few weeks
SYSTEM USAGE: Games, Photoshop, Internet, MS office
PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers

Some recommendations

That case is alarmingly expensive - nearly $300 with tax and shipping...
For the motherboard, a much cheaper alternative should serve you well

I understand that this build is coming at no cost to you, but the above build is just a bit too unreasonable. If you are really into spending extra, consider purchasing a new (or second) monitor with the money you save.

Also, I just noticed your current configuration, and would like to add that you are in no way in need of an upgrade... Not trying to be harsh, just maybe your money could be better spent elsewhere.

looks pretty similar to mine, except I chose a very high quality PSU, a WD HDD to take advantage of sata III, a more expensive case and 12GB of CL6 ram.
