Adding my HDD

I recently managed to get my new build running! The problem im having now is I cant seem to get my HDD to work. I can see the drivers are there in the Device manager and ive updated them. I also can find the device in control panel > devices and printers. How do I get it to work as my non bootable storage? Thanks for any help and any questions just ask.
