Hello, I am upgrading to an SSD and I am going to be doing a clean install of windows but I was wondering if after I get done with the clean install can I transfer my games and other documents from the HDD to the SSD through SATA?
-Thanks
Yes you can, but if your intention is to run/play any of the games you will need to install them from scratch on to the SSD as just copying them over to the SSD won't allow you to play them because some vital entries will be missing from the Registry as well as vital support files in other folders.
Most games, yes, you might find it hard to copy some games. There is no difference between a SSD and a HDD when it comes to moveing files from one drive to another, aside form the speed.
