Hello,
I'm planning on an Asus P8P67 Deluxe and a Zalman CPNS 9900 max -- do I need to remove the backplate on the motherboard?
Thanks,
Frank D

Yes. Use the new backplate that comes with the asus board. Most plates are easy to remove; just press gently towards the inside of the case until the old plate pops out. The new plate needs to be square on all four corners so the motherboard is straight. The new plate port holes will match the motherboard and allow you to use them all if needed. Backplates are proprietary to the board. Most boards are a little different on the port position, hence the need for a custom backplate.
