One of the clips on my add-in slot broke and won't hold the memory module securely. I was able to use the second slot. Question: Can this be fixed and how? I'm trying to add memory to a computer with only 256 RAM and this has totally screwed me. I don't want to pay for more repair than I need. What should I know?

Hello Laurs;

Read this article and look for: If the Memory Socket is Broken
Or you might be able to use the old rubber band trick to hold it in place. Find a rubber band the right size to hold tension on the stick of RAM and the good side of the slot clip.
