Stupid mouse acceleration, if you fix this you are a good. I have been through like 10 forums and asked the same question. HOW to get rid of the stupid acceleration in games. I get the same answer, just go to control panel and turn off enhanced presicion. that does the trick for windows. but that's not the problem. When I try to play CS and Q2 the acceleration is still there. Then somebody tells me to put on some extra command line options to hl.exe and remove m_filter and it works, without m_filter that is and still no fix for quake2.

Once I was playing Quake2 and I got and error and it exited, i realised that I now had acceleration and I went into control panel and mouse and saw that the precision stuff was on again. It seems like windows actually turns on acc when you go into games. Quake3 works like a charm though because they have their own mouseacc 0 stuff and such.

I've tried editing in regedit, and i've tried installing the newest logitech drivers, didn't help. This is the most annoying problem in XP to date, I wonder how microsoft managed to add the if(Game){ force stupid settings } to this release of windows.
They've never heard the phrase if it isn't broken don't fix.

I want all of you guys to try quake2 or half-life and set the sensitivity up high, then roll the mouse slowly across the mousepadd, very slowly. you will see that the cursor won't move a pixel if you do it slow enough, but if you pump it up with a little fast twich it will take you 360 degrees around! And the gr8 thing about it, you cant turn it off! Now that's nice!
