Does TRIM of Win 7 OS works when SATA III SSD is attached to a SATA II port as OS HD?

  1. Yes it will work. The storage controller will need to be configured in the AHCI mode rather than IDE mode. On Intel chipsets you can set the storage controller to AHCI or RAID because RAID also enables AHCI
  2. TRIM would work when you are using win7, no matter what the sata port version the ssd use.
