hello,

I just build my new computer, I have two 256gb samsung 830 in raid 0, the AS SSD benchmark shows that the 4k performance is

read 20.61MB/s write 57.05MB/s

the normal single 256gb samsung 830 should have

read 24MB/s write 106MB/s

I wonder if anyone could help me explain this,

my other part

CPU i5-3570k,
MOBO: ASUS Maximus V GENE
RAM: 8gb Kingston 1600

thank you very much,

Where did you get your 24MB/s Read and 106MB/s Write numbers from? A review site?

At StorageReview.com they have RAID-0 benchmark numbers of 17.12MB/s Read and 67.34MB/s Write.

Why would you RAID those drives anyway? You lose TRIM.

agreed with anort3 trim is far more important to keep performance up over the months/years you use it

SSD's are about seek times not max mb/s

thanks, I just realized what you said. I may wait for the 11.5 version of intel RST so that I can get TRIM for raid 0.
