D link router not brodcasting wireless signal

Hello,
I HAVE AN OLDER DI 524 ROUTER THAT I CANNOT GET TO BRODCAST A SIGNAL....DESKTOP THAT THE ROUTER IS ATTACHED TO GETS ON THE INTERNET JUST FINE.....ANY IDEAS?

You don't say what you've tried so please don't think I'm being patronising if we start with the simple suggestion first. Interface with the router through Internet Explorer - get the address through the Command Prompt if you don't know it as per my post #3 in this thread http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/28102-18-suppoort-setupwirless - and check the box that says wireless is enabled.

If it already is ticked, track down the Channel number on which it's broadcasting and set your aireless adapter to receive on the same channel.
