Do I need 6.0GB/s SATA cable?

Do I need to buy a specific SATA cable to support 6.0GB/s, or does the hard drive come with one?

You are aware that the SATA 6.0 feature is just a marketing gimmick. Most magnetic drives barely saturate the original 1.5gbps sata, and don't even approach SATA 3.0 limits. Need a SSD to reach that.

You did tell me something I didn’t know so thanks for that; but you didn’t answer the question. I do have a SSD drive and my mother board came with 4 SATA cables, 2 3.0 and 2 more 6.0. Their color coded but nowhere can I find any reference to which is which. Does it matter?

No it doesent matter. As twobit said, it barely can do 1.5 GB speeds so either cable works.
