XP reset
Last response: in Windows XP
I have just recently upgraded my system with a new Mobo and Graphics card. I am still running XP until I can buy 7. When I booted up the computer, it says that I have to activate my Windows product. This is impossible because I'm still using the same HDD and I have owned this copy for about 10 years. i do not have the reactivation codes and when I call the number for activation they say that it "Is not a Windows product". Any help will be nice.

It is asking for reactivation because of the hardware changes. It was probably an OEM install and will request reactivation when there are hardware changes. This article may help:
