In simple terms, No it shouldn't.

If it does, it would be too minor to worry about it and a minor over clock would remove it.

Alright thx, and i was going to overclock it just in case . But, the only problem is that my cpu temps are kinda high it idles around 43C. So i added and extra cpu fan on it, so it idles arought 33C to 36C. Do you think a overclock will hurt my cpu or make it run hot?

It will make it run hotter you don't know how hot until you try, if you keep the voltage at stock there would only be a slight increase if at all but you won't be able to overclock very far.

As simon said, it'll run hotter but until you try, who knows. If you do add an extra fan on i suppose it'd help. Which heatsink are you using? And it most likely wouldn't bottleneck with a minor OC. Umm try dling prime95 and running it on your stock clocks first. If it gets to high 70s-80s its to hot.

Depends on the application and settings. It will bottleneck a 5970, unless your gaming above 1080p with AA and AF, but a 5870, not so much.

Ok, um the heatsink im using is stock, and its really small. Also, i cant use any cpu temp readers, because I unlock the 2 extra cores. But, I will try.

O.o, Then it wouldn't matter if you put the extra fan since the stock heatsinks on Phenom X4 aren't exactly, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be able to fit one more fan. :p  I think you should go with an aftermarket cooler like the CM Hyper 212.

Ya, I am going to get an aftermarjet cooler. But, i did fit an other fan just needed 4 washers and 4 longer screws.

To monitor your temperatures use speedfan it should pick up a sensor on your motherboard

Ya, I already tried that it doesn't work, because I unlocked my cores. The only way to see my temp. is to go into bios, and its about 33c to 36c with the 2 fans on top of my heatsink.

speedfan normally picks up the same sensor you are reading in the bios (it did on my unlocked 550 and everyone else I have read posts from) if not try everest

Try CoreTemp, its a good AMD temp recorder in my opinion

Maybe your motherboard just doesn't have a sensor or it doesn't work.

Na I emailed gigabyte they said It's because I unlock the 2 extra core on my processors, but i can just look in the bios to see the temps.
