High Temperature

I am totally confused....running temperture verfications ....basicly this is what I get for high temps

Using Speed Fan 4.40 I get;
ICH 80 deg c
MCH 47 deg c

Using HCPUID Hardware Monitor I get;
ICH 44 deg c
MHC 80 deg c

Which would be more correct?
How do I lower the high temperature reading?

  1. Hmmm, whats your case cooling like? How many fans? Cable management etc?

    Whats the CPU temp? Whats your set up?
  2. Those appear to be motherboard temps (ICH=southbridge, MCH=Memory controller). Not sure if those readings are accurate. Please list your system specs, and are you trying to overclock?

  4. Either those readings are wrong, or you have some serious heating equipment in that PC. Are these idle temps or is the PC doing something in the background?
