what is the differance between AMD Phenom™ II X2 Processor and 550 AMD Phenom™ II X2 Processor 550 black edition

I assume the question should have read "what is the differance between AMD Phenom™ II X2 Processor 550 and AMD Phenom™ II X2 Processor 550 black edition" In which case the black edition has an unlocked multiplier making it easier to overclock.

Also, the Phenom II X2 550 (HDX550WFGMBOX) is a C3 stepping CPU while the Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition (HDZ550WFK2DGI) is C2. The C3 would normally overclock slightly better, however the unlocked multiplier makes it a lot more easier to overclock using the Phenom II X2 550 BE instead.

I never noticed than before, if I had I would have most likely got the 555 which is C3 and unlocked.
