Best ssd to get and combinations

well i have a 60gb vertex 3 at the moment and was wondering if i have the money buy either 2x 120 vertex 3 or agility and put them in raid or just get a 240gb of either of the ones i just mentioned. I know vertex is a little faster but not really noticeable to the eye as far as im aware of.

So you're going to use your 60GB as you boot drive adn the others for data?


If so, Id probably just go with the single 240GB - keep TRIM and just less of a mess in the case!

sorry should of explained more with the other ssd, my mate has offered £50 for the 60gb ssd.

Between Vertex and Agility, its pretty much:

Price = Agility > Vertex

Performance = Vertex > Agility

Oh ok - to be honest It doesnt really change my answer, Id still just go for the single drive, it just seems easier to me.

But Id probs wait for someone who knows a little bit more about the advantages of RAID set ups before deciding

no problem and yup i know well if i was gonna do raid id go for 2 120gb agility or vertex but if i was to get 1 240gb id just go for vertex only about £15 more so not gonna complain lol.

Amazon has the Samsung 830 $120 for £76, which is quite the bargain imo
