Okay, so I've been using my laptop (HP pavillion entertainment PC) for quite a few years now, and all the sudden the computer screen completely shut off. So I got a monitor and hooked it up to it and it worked for like a year and now half of the keyboard doesn't work so I cannot log onto the computer to take all the files and put it onto a flash drive. I got a new computer, which is the same exact one, and i plan on taking the hard drive out and hooking it up to my new computer. Where is the hard drive located, how can i get it out, and when I get it plugged up into an adapter what do I do next to get the pictures off of it?

On the bottom of the computer, there is a long narrow rectangular piece, which is the battery bay. Just next to it, near the center is the hard drive bay. It might have 2 vents, depending on the model #. Just remove the screws, disconnect the data ribbon and remove the hard drive. (Hopefully the picture I found is the same/close to your model).
