Hi my question is will a ATI Radeon HD 2400 play empire total war. And what would be a good video card to play empire total war with decent graphics? Can anyone help me?
Whats your budget and screen resolution? For $150ish you can get a 5770 which should handle it well, if you are on a smaller budget the 5750 or 5670 for less. I wouldnt go below a 5570 which performs similarly to a 4670.
Well my budget is like around 100 maybe a little over it. I am not sure what my screen resolution is.. I know it can go down to a 800 by 600 and then up to 1440 by 900 but right now i have it set in between them? and is it hard to install a graphics card yourself?
100 is just for the card. I don't think you need to pay someone to install it for you
Its a simple DIY(Do It Yourself).
Just slot it in the PCIe slot and connect the 6-pin power supply cable to it and you are good to go. You needn't worry since the card also comes with a manual which is simple to follow.
would an PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB PCS work?? and how would i figure out my computers power.. or somethin like that?? and if my computers video card is welded into the computer i can still put another one in right????

The HD 4850 512 is perfectly ok (though i would opt for a 1gb one rather than 512MB for an extra $10).

The main importance here is the power of your psu. what psu do you have and at what wattage?

As long as you have more than 1 PCIe slots on your motherboard, and your computer case itself has multiple expansion slots, then you can always put in another video card.
ok would that video card i listed work with my computer that i had listed? and how do u determine the power of your psu? and how do i determine what psu i have and how do i tell what wattage my psu is at??? guys i need help!!!! thx
Well, it may be on documentation that came with the computer, or open the side and check around. There should be a label somewhere on the PSU. This would also be a good time to see if you have a free PCI-E slot and a free PCI-E power connector.
ok well thx... we dont have any documentations since this video card was ordered seprate. yea i opened the side panel and looked around.... ok i will look for all that stuff u said but what does a PCI-E slot and a PCI-E power conector look like???

They may not have put one (power connector) in if your current card didn't need it. As for PCI-E slot, you current card (unless you have integrated) is plugged into it. Where do you hook your monitor to, up with the USBs/audio or down on a card?
ok well i finally got into my computer and pulled out the video card... so now i know how to do that... but i put it back in!! and the video card i want to get how do i know its compatable... and is there any other way of identifying your psu power and the the wattage of the psu???? and i think my psu is a Rev AOO! i think lol!!
