Memory module compatibility

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Asus Memory module compatibility

Word :    Username :

Hello,
I want to add memory by replacing the two memory modules that are each 512MB DDR1-400 PC1-3200U. Do I have to replace them with the same DDR# or can I use 2GB DDR3-1333 modules? The motherboard is an Asus A8V Deluxe.
Thanks.

You will have to get DDR ram the same as you have, your board and cpu will not support DDR2 or DDR3 ram which are both physically and technically different.
