  4. not sure why yours was almost 1900 ?
  5. It's 1,294.57 with all the tax and shipping included.
  6. I like your build the only down side is that you went with a lower GPU card. Other than that, its a good build. Also I been told by a friend that I needed to buy a UPS is that needed?

With your resolution, you won't need a very high-end card. Even a 5770 would suffice.

You could also save some cash by getting a HAF 922 instead. The two look very alike.

If you really must have a 5870 and are still over budget, I'd go with an AMD build. It performs just as good as that Intel build.

Here's a pretty good looking build.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955
    Mobo: Gigabyte Ga-790XTA-UD4
    RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws 2x2GB CL 7
    GPU: XFX 5850
    PSU: Corsair 750TX
    HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB
    ODD: Sony CD/DVD Burner
    Case: CM 690
    Monitor: ASUS 23" 1920x1080

    Total w/ shipping - 1207.52
    After MIR - 1162.52.

With this, you get a new monitor AND a great 5850 card.
  9. Nice build. I went with this AMD/Mobo combo.

Good combo, however you'd save more by going with the 955 as it's the same chip, just with a slightly lower clock. If you plan on overclocking you could just get it to the 965 clocks or even higher.

Here's that same combo, just with a 955.
  11. Thanks 143miah I went with you suggestion ordering right now. Thanks niklas for your help. :D
