What sockets will sandy bridge be using?

Can I expect a new performance CPUs to come out from Intel in 2010 that use the 1366 socket and possibly use 32nm?

Don't think so, Sandy Bridge will be using LGA 1155 and LGA 2011. LGA 1155 will not work in LGA 1156 boards.

Sandy Bridge will be 32nm. Its also supposed to use LGA 1155 but as for backwards compatability, no 100% yes or no yet.

So there is a possibility I can use a 1155 chip in my 1366 motherboard if they chose to support backwards compatibility? Not sure it was an option for them to do that, is it likely?

I don't wanna be stuck with 45 nm CPUs and a £850 CPU being the next real step above a i7 920

No 1155 wont work in 1366. They might do a 1365 or 1366 Sandy Bridge but who knows. Intel keeps stuff close until 1-2 months before release.
