Weird start up problem

Hi, I built a new PC around 5 months ago with these components: i7 950, GTX 480, gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard, 6gb of Plat OCZ memory, windows 7 professional 64 bit and a 700watt power supply.

I first had an issue with 1 stick of the ram being faulty, so I sent it back and recieved new ones. Ever since then however, I have had to switch my PC on and off and then on again. I do this because when I start my PC up for the first time every day I only get 4gb of ram, I then restart my PC and it finds all 6gb. I am getting no other error from the motherboard or the memory, just that one problem. It's not a massive pain, but I am just a little concerned if it might mean or lead to something worse.

Thanks in advance.

I would manually set the RAM in the BIOS. Since you didn't specify your exact Part Number, here's an example http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr3_pc3_12800_platinum_low_voltage_triple_channel

EXAMPLE: 1600 MHz CL 7-7-7-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) @ 1.65v

BIOS:
Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) -> Disabled
System Memory Multiplier -> 12 {assuming BCLK 133.33 X 12 = 1600}
DRAM Timing Selectable -> Quick
enter values = 7-7-7-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
Command Rate (CMD) -> 2

QPI/Vtt Voltage -> Auto or 1.25v~1.35v {change only if failure}
DRAM Voltage -> 1.65~1.68v
