Acer EM61SM/EM61PM what ram upgrade?

Please could you advise what additional ram this board can take and give reference numbers to enable ordering.

I have the same mb (CPU-Z says EM61SM/EM61PM). My problem is Crucial.com's scanner said it could only handle 4 gigs total and my research online says up to 4 1gb sticks. Well thing is I only have 1 2gb stick in there now which supposedly won't work. But I have 2 gigs of RAM available for use etc etc.

So basically I am just trying to find out how high can I go? if I am limited to 4 total then I will just get 1 or 2 sticks depending on price and go from there. But if I can go higher then I want to plan ahead for as much as I can cram in here over the long run.

Any help would be appreciated ie links to scanners, manuals etc. I already tried 4allmemory.com and it said it could read my system. FTR the mb is not the original, it died a flaming death and I got this one from a buddy as a replacement.
