Old PC Needs Some Minor Upgrade Help

CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 Ghz

GPU
Sapphire HD 4850 <--My GPU is really, really, really hot for some reason. Any advice?

PSU
Cooler Master something-something 500Watts

MOBO
Asus P5Q-E

Memory
2GB of some unknown brand

CASE
P-O-S Thermaltake SopranoRS

I'll be upgrading my case from the P-O-S SopranoRS to the Cooler Master HAF X Full Tower Gaming Case (RC-942-KKN1).

Reason: I heard many good things about this case and keeping everything cool. Aside from that, I can use this case for future builds. If anyone here can suggest a better casee, please do so.

I have enough money for 1 more upgrade. I'm thinking a really, really good PSU that could handle next years hardware. I figured, if I buy a really good case now, and a really good PSU now, I won't have to buy many parts next year.

Any suggestions? Also, thanks for dropping by :D

    Corsair, hands down.

Any of those :D Obviously you'll need to pick a wattage to suit your needs. Assuming you don't plan on going SLI or Crossfire, 550w would probably be adequate, while a 650w 750w, or 850w would give you plenty of headroom.
  2. Corsair it is! Thanks!
