Write to disk , do not remove ,but , attempt to add to disk brings insert disk m

i write to a dvd and without changing anything , without removing disk or knowingly changing anything except doing other work ,,, when i go back to write again to the disk , i get the message to insert a disk .. i have no sucess in seeing the disk .. i have to move it to another drive or replace it with a new disk to use the drivwe further ..
