Pci-e 2.0

Okay, I was wondering if I would see any difference running two ati 6950s in crossfire on a motherboard that supports pci 2.0 x16 in 8x8 mode. If this would bottleneck the cards could someone please guide me to some socket 1155 mobos that run in x16/x16. I've been looking but I could not find any.

----Just found a similar post on the forums that answers my questions about performance loss between x8/x8 vs. x16/x16----
I would still like to know of some socket 1155 mobos that support x16/x16.

  1. The difference between 8x/8x and 16x/16x is minimal and puts the emphasis on a fast CPU. This is a good read => http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pcie-geforce-gtx-480-x16-x8-x4,2696.html
  2. Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

None, but be sure that use a good CPU.
