Xp repair stalls out - anything I can do?

I started an XP repair. The first part in which it copies the files and whatever works fine. Then it reboots and starts loading windows and it never gets past that screen.

I should note that I was having this problem before I started the repair too. I've been meaning to run repair for a while and when it couldn't get past the start screen I thought, might as well do it now.

I've tried unplugging all the devices. Any ideas?

At this point all you do is try safe mode to back up any files and perform a FULL install.

Repair installs often have problems.
