Free audio card for ibm thinkpad

i need a audio device for my computer , i really cant afford one , iv checked and i cant find a free one on the enternet , PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME , i need to have sound to use my comp

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

An IBM Thinkpad has an audio device built in - it's just that yours doesn't work. Go in Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices and click on the Hardware tab. Please post back what you see in there.

You probalby just need the drivers installed. www.lenovo.com, search for drivers foryour model there.
