Hi Ladies & Gents

Im using XP with a (Radeon x300) not sure what that is!


Is there any way I can see my desktop screen on my TV, so I can surf looking at my large TV screen. I have a pretty basic computer but it has all the necessary outputs, DVI, composite, however no matter which one I use or what settings i change in "appearance & themes" I only seem to get my desktop screen with no icons to view. If I move the mouse far far to the right of my computer screen, it then appears on my TV. Which means, all my icons and task bar settings, are not accessible to me from the TV.

Is there any way of just getting the whole desktop screen on the TV, like a mirror effect? So I can use this as my monitor?

The configuration you're seeing is called extended mode (where the desktop is extended across both monitors). What you're looking for is called "Clone Mode", which mirrors your desktop on each monitor/tv. You should be able to find this setting in Catalyst Control Center.
