hey, I've had lots of advice about this build already from you lovely poeple :D  Just want one final check from you guys ( and girls )

I want to note, I already have a 19 inch 1440 x 900 monitor for the computer but I might be upgrading to a HD monitor. I also have a XFX Radeon HD 5670 512mb to go inside it, but again I will eventually upgrade to 1 or 2 HD5850's.

The system needs to last me at least 3-4 years (excluding the graphics card). I will be using the system for gaming, internet use, and watching films/T.V So what do you all think....

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/show [...] =CP-244-AM

Cost: £135.99

Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard [GA-790FXTA-UD4]

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB...

Cost:£111

Ram: Patriot Sector 5 G Series 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-12800 1600MHz Dual Channel

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/show [...] =MY-025-PA

Cost: £86.99

Case: Antec 900 Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/show [...] =CA-065-AN

Cost £73.99

PSU: Antec TruePower New Modular 650W Power Supply

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...

Cost:£85.99

This totals at about £512 including cable tidies and delivary (£12 over buget but I think USB 3.0 and SATA 3 is worth it)

What you all think?. I want to say thank you now to all the nice people on this website that have really helped me out (and are about to) with choosing these parts, I would have made a mess of it without your help. Nice to know there are people out there to support us first computer builders

looks good, a few items you may want to look into

1. mobo http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB...

2. maybe look into some Corsair or G Skill RAM with CL 7 if your going to OC at some point get DDR3 1600

3. CM-922 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...

1. Is the mobo that you linked to better than the one that I am currently about to get? I know it has an updated chipset but is it better?

2. Yes ok will look into it

3. I LOOVEE the antec 900, my friend has one and says its the best air cooled case he has ever had and it does look amazing, so I'm not moving on that one :kaola:

Thanks for the reply

Dude I just bought the HAF 922. It blows that antec away. In fact in my opinion it blows away the 1200.

Cable managemet, quite possibly bigger, (haven't seen the 900 in person, but this thing is huge) and a hole on the back of the mobo tray to allow you to completely change the heatsink you're using.

Oh and that mobo he posted is really just an updated chipset. But it's USB3 and SATAIII support is in the chipset and not in added stuff. And on top of that it should be better supported in the future for new AM3 CPUs that aren't out yet.

Really wanted a case with a window though, This is going to be my first custom built and I really want it to luck the part. Does that case have a see through window?

I agree with niklas_13, you should look into a motherboard with the new 890 chipset. It will be much easier/faster when you upgrade it later because of the USB3 and SATA6 etc. I personally would go for the 890FX as the FX are usually the better preformers.
This is a nice one:

They do have another one with more PCI x16 slots but I dont know how many you need.

You've got two things here. It doesn't technically have a window, but it does have a grill for a side fan that doesn't come with. It's pretty easy to see through. You could also buy a cooler master storm sniper side window. It fits the HAF 922, you'd just have to make screw holes because they aren't in the same places.

I like being able to see in too. But I didn't like just seeing cables running everywhere. I used to have a Xpider II and it had a side window.

Sounds awesome, I like everything about the case bar it not having the side window, it looks really proffesional. Could you post a pick please mate?
